Hey guys, this atmosphere this past week has been quite intense for the country due to the elections; I hope you’re all safe and that this post finds you well. Today I visited Larder which one of Radisson Blu’s restaurants and it was honestly a great reliever from constantly listening to stories about ‘Shakalaka Jirongo’ and ‘form 34A’. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and sweet, almost tropical tunes by the live band filled the air. The aura had me feeling like I’d finally gotten my trip to an island. The only thing missing was the beach. Anyway, we were welcomed to the restaurant by gorgeously presented food and sizzling sounds from the barbecue. Today was the restaurant’s ‘Sunday Brunch’ and the buffet left me feeling stuffed.
For starters, we had sushi and salad.

I have to say, I was ‘shook’! And I say this happily. The appetizers were refreshing, light and although I felt that the portions were quite small, it was an appetizer. Fancy food is something I’ll probably never understand. 😂Haha…
But my worrying was in vain as a whole other section awaited me in the outdoor section of the restaurant. I was in awe and couldn’t decide what to have for about two minutes. There’s a taco bar, a koroga section which my dad said that the softest ‘chapos’ made right before you, a grill, kid’s corner if you’re into the likes of fish fingers, chicken nuggets and an Indian section. My favorite was the Indian because I love Indian food. Shoutout to the chefs today; your chicken tikka was absolutely delectable and was my favorite dish today.

And after all this food, you may wonder how did you have space for dessert? Dessert is the best part of a meal somehow I had space. I tried the lemon sorbet, creme brulee and the orange panna cotta which I absolutely loved but wished was colder. The creme brulee had light coffee notes which I think was really inventive compared to a traditional creme brulee. Artcaffe, take notes. 😂 My mum had the tiramisu which she liked but said could have had a more prominent coffee flavour.

All in all, I think it’s safe to say that we enjoyed our food. The photos below definitely prove that we did.
With such a lively atmosphere and delicious food, Larder is should definitely be on your list of restaurants to try this year. I loved my experience and if you visit the restaurant, I’m sure you will too!
