From cool and refreshing to warm soul food , today’s blog post features recipes that are delectable, simple and quick. Even you with your little or no expertise in the kitchen can easily whip up these healthy dishes…
Because breakfast is the most important meal of the day and food is bae, the importance of having both a delicious and healthy breakfast that will fill you up cannot be over-emphasized. These breakfasts can be made on a slow Saturday morning or even a rushed Monday. Here are 5 healthy breakfast ideas that aren’t eggs:
Fruit Toasts
This recipe is probably the easiest and is quite self-explanatory; Just grab your favorite nut butter, spread some of that on toast and top it up with your preferred fruits and chia seeds. Done! This couldn’t possibly take you more than five minutes.Other scrumptious fruit combos you can try are; banana, chia &peanut butter or better yet, avocado and chia toast. A substitute for chia that my mum introduced me to called Amaranth* can also be used. Both chia and amaranth are high in protein which is beneficial for creation & growth of new cells and tissue in your body.
*If you do decide to use Amaranth, make sure that is ready to eat amaranth.
2. Oat And Currant Muffins
Yup, I said muffins. But this healthier version of muffins substitutes some flour for oats and rather than chocolate chips, currants hence cutting down quite a bit of unhealthy processed sugar. You might want to make these ahead of time if you’re going to have a fast-paced morning.

3. This refreshing deconstructed strawberry & pomegranate parfait
This simple breakfast is perfect for those warm, sunny mornings where something cooler is what you need. I’m sure any fruit lover will love this ~berry~ much.
This breakfast can easily be turned into a smoothie bowl if you’re feeling more adventurous. Just make your favorite smoothie, pour it into a bowl and top with fruits, nuts, and maybe even coconut shavings to enhance the nutty flavor. Who says you need a tropical holiday to have a fabulous breakfast?

5. Banana Pancakes
These pancakes I think were my favourite. If you love pancakes as much as I do, you’ll love this! They taste like banana bread and if you can make healthier pancakes, you now have a better excuse to eat more! These pancakes substitute some flour for bananas and use less sugar as much of the sweetness comes naturally from the bananas.

If you’re feeling extra healthy vibes, you can also try drinking fruit infused water. Make these the night before you plan to drink them or at least a few hours beforehand for a strong infusion. These are also so cute and perfect for Instagram. Aesthetics are important too!
That’s all for this post. I hope this post inspires you to make healthier versions of your favorite breakfasts and ends the monotonous eggs and bacon. Hopefully, you try these recipes and enjoy them.
See you guys next week!
